Duck Dash

Saturday, October 25, 2014

NOON

The 24th annual “Duck Dash” is a thrilling spectacle of toy ducks that race on a special course at the Ag Pond, near the Homer Bryce Stadium at Stephen F. Austin State University. These types of toy duck races are always entertaining and everyone is encouraged to attend just for the fun of it.

If you want to take the next step, you can also help by sponsoring a duck to help raise money for the SFA Alumni Association. Sponsorships are $5 each duck, or 6 ducks for $25.00 and the deadline is Saturday, so don’t delay. There are all sorts of prizes available, including $1,000 cash for first place – wow!

For more info about how to sponsor a duck, please call the SFA Alumni Association at 936-468-3407 or visit their website here.

Free pancakes!

pancakesFree pancakes will be available for the hungry runners who are participating in the Homecoming 5K during SFA homecoming weekend.

For the rest of us, just $6.00 is all it takes to enjoy a buffet of flapjacks and special toppings to make your breakfast both bountiful and beautiful.

This delicious event will be held on October 25 (Saturday) at 8:00 a.m. right in front of City Hall, 202 E. Pilar Street, in downtown Nacogdoches. Come early to get a spot in line because these fantastic flapjacks won’t last long, I’m sure!

This is a fundraiser event for the SFA Alumni Association.
