Located at 700 E. Main (near downtown), this park is a well-known site for weddings, senior portraits and other special occasions. It is also a popular site for group events including rallies, parades, demonstrations, speakers and more.
This little neighborhood park area is right in the midst of downtown and is a great place to let the little ones run around for a bit in a large grassy area (no playground equipment). There is a small parking area for cars and benches to sit on. The nine flags flying in the breeze on tall flag poles and a historical statue with plaque add to the atmosphere. A highlight of this park is the Gazebo, where countless weddings have been held throughout the years. The Gazebo is also a great place for special photos such as to announce your graduation or engagement.
The gazebo has quite a few bats that live under the shingles on the roof and if you are at the park at just the right time in the evening around dusk, you’ll be able to watch them coming out for the night.
